Moonmire's Proving Grounds: Meet Rammit Den Geddul & Hakemba

Moonmire's Proving Grounds will be launching next week on MyMiniFactory's Frontiers! Along with the remastered mission pack, you can expect to get four new Narrative Heroes with the campaign. Today we'll be taking a look at two more of them: Rammit Den Geddul & Hakemba. Even better, their stats are live now on Army Forge if you want to check them out, today!

Rammit Den Geddulot, The wandering Mummified Prince

Once a proud and beautiful prince, Rammit saw his flesh fall from his bones as his people fell under a curse that left them as the Mummified Undead. This curse was a fate worse than death for the vain duellist, who could not find any consolation for this pain in his now eternal life.

Rammit went into self-imposed exile with a handful of Royal Guards, seeking to break the curse’s hold upon him by any means necessary. He spent much of his fortune  commissioning an elaborate set of armour and a beautiful golden mask to hide his lost facial features, which he named his Dazzling Mail.

The exiled prince also honed his martial skills into an art, seeking consolation in its elegance and beauty as he wielded his Crescent Spears. He drilled those fighting alongside him to meet his grueling expectations until they moved with choreographed precision.

When Moonmire appeared to him, Rammit was able to see his own face for the first time in over a century. For fleeting moments, he felt as he did in life. Though Rammit did not trust the Daemon, the dreams gave him renewed hope that he might yet discover a means to break the curse.

Many in the tournament dismissed Rammit for his vanity, even mocking the Undead Champion for caring more for his appearance than victory. Yet, his skill was unmistakable, and his intuition was far sharper than most of his foes suspected.

A Fortified Whirlwind

In combat, Rammit is a brutal melee fighter with his Crescent Blade delivering a flurry of AP 1 attacks with his Unpredictable Fighter ability ensuring that the hits will be painful for his opponent. But more than that, any unit that is lead by Rammit will be hard to shift off the table and protected as they advance with his Gleaming Armour providing the entire unit with the Fortified special rule!

Hakemba Padrakasi, Elder and keeper of the Tales of Mabalo

Hakemba is the eldest member of Mabalo village, serving as the Shaman. His father told him many stories of the ancient walls of their city and the Sacred Tree, describing them in such detail that Hakemba could not help but imagine them when he closed his eyes. Though some of his people were ready to forget what they had lost, Hakemba feared their memory would soon fade forever.

He keenly felt the loss of his people’s legacy, manifesting his Buried Hatred to enter a battle fury with his Mabalo Twin Staves. His father had taught him to channel this anger and harness it, granting him the strength to defend the people of Mabalo rather than dedicate him to destruction.

Moonmire’s visions gave Hakemba a glimpse of the Holy City, allowing him to experience what he had only been able to imagine before. Despite this, Hakemba initially rejected the call; he was too important to his people to throw away his life chasing such dreams. It was only when word spread of these visions and many of his people begged him to go that he decided to undertake the journey.

As he reached Udanax, the old Shaman earned the respect of warbands and courtiers alike. Many sought him out for guidance and interpretation of their dreams, leading Moonmire to identify Hakemba as a potential threat. Many were caught off guard to discover his wisdom belied a deeper rage which would manifest in battle. When Hakemba discovered the Lust Daemon’s treachery, his fury was great, and few dared oppose him as he tore through the city.

Magic and Might!

Hakemba is a intimidating frontline spellcaster with both Caster(2) and his Buried Hatred ability that gives him and his entire unit the Furious special rule. This can lead to an explosion of extra attacks, especially as Mabalo gets to double dip with his Mabalo Dual Stave also having Surge. When combined witht the Beastmen's Strider ability, him and his unit can pull off some devistating surprise charges!
