Vampiric Undead Unveiled: Meet Countess Navleva Zhromoveza

The Vampirc Undead Faction Book will be launching later this month, and we have another Narrative Hero to show you. Today we take a peek a vampire who has given up her work for peace and lets the grief and rage that flood her heart empower her crusade against the living.

Countess Navleva Zhromoveza, the Widow

The love story between Navleva and her husband Count Grevrig is one of the great romances of the Marches; many songs have been written about their story, from its heartwarming start to its tragic ending.

Navleva was born in a Human town close to Verdorv. The Count fell in love with her at first sight and so did she. After several years of marriage, she asked him to make her a Vampire so that they could spend eternity together.

Like her husband, the Countess became a fervent proponent of undead-mortal cohabitation and maintained a large correspondence with several scholars, both in the Marches and in the Empire. Alas, the Gründenite Crusade would dash her faith in this ideal in a most definitive way.

Despite his efforts of temperance, or because of them, Grevrig became known as far as the Empire as “the Blood-Drinker”, and grim tales of his alleged cruelty spread among the Human lands. His reign of peace came to an end when a crusade of Human fanatics crossed into Verdorv and killed the Count.

Seeing her beloved husband struck down drove the Countess to madness. With a terrifying scream she summoned a Winged Terror and rode it, slaughtering all mortals as they fled in terror.

Now known as the Widow, Navleva no longer tolerates even any Humans on her territory, and is a fervent believer in the Vampire King’s vision for a land of Undeath. Wielding her razor-sharp Forlorn Falchion, she leads merciless campaigns against mortals, her blinding hatred driving her troops into a frenzy.

Grief & Rage on Wings

Lady Navleva is a terror on the battlefield, able to make devistating charging attacks against her foes with ease thanks to her mount's Flying ability. Combining the Surge ability of her Forlorn Falchion and Frenzy, when charging she can deliver an avalanche of AP(2) attacks, making her a threat to all but the most heavily armored of foes. Her Winged Terror of course joins in the fun with a trio of Toxin Claw attacks who's Poison can wreak havoc on soft targets and deny her opponent the use of Regeneration.

If you want to try her out yourselves in your next Army List, Lady Nevleva's stats, as well as the stats for our other three new Narrative Heroes, are available now on Army Forge!
